AND YOUR PRIVACY--** If you are not happy with one or more ad(s) placed on the site, please e-mail us at questions@dekalbhighschool.com to let us know why you are not happy with the ad. Please also describe the ad by telling us what the ad said and what it appeared to be selling. We will investigate and take the proper steps at that point. *02*--PLACING AN ADVERTISEMENT ON OUR SITE--** For more information, please see the "Advertise on our site." link on the web site. *03*--PLACING A LINK TO OUR WEB SITE--** You can place a text or gif image (approved by us) on your web site provided that you do not put us down or badmouth our site or any member thereof. *04*--INFORMATION SUBMITTED TO US--** All information submitted, entered, and/or put in/to/upon this site (DeKalbHighSchool.com and related domains, hereafter referred to simply as "domain") is and remains the full property of DeKalbHighSchool.com (For legal reasons). This includes, but is not limited to; registration data, questions, comments, suggestions, ideas, feedback. We retain the right to use, list, disclose, and publish any and all information submitted to us without restriction (For legal reasons). We also reserve the right to use your name for marketing purposes. Which at this time, is NOT done and we do not plan to. (We may also use your name as having attended DeKalb High School AND/OR what city AND/OR state the school was in.) *05*--INFORMATION VIEWED ON WEB SITE--** Each user/classmate has almost full control of what is listed on their profile. We assume that all information is NOT private or confidential. We will try to keep information that you request to not be listed (Non Published) on the web site as private and keep such information off of the web site. Please understand that, however rare, mistakes do happen. This clause has been inserted simply to protect us from mistakes of such a nature. Please check the site and your profile from time-to-time for errors. It is up to you to notify us as-soon-as-possible of any mistakes or corrections so that we may change or remove it. (If you can not verify who you are (see below), we may remove it for up to two-weeks to give you time to submit proof or approved ID to us.) *06*--CHANGES TO LISTED INFORMATION--** If any information needs updated or corrected, you can e-mail us from one of the e-mail addresses that you have on file with us. It is also more difficult for spammers to collect e-mail addresses. They would have to manually go into each state, year, class, and classmate to get anything. It is just too much hassle for them. This is also why we have not provided an internal site search engine. We feel that it would lead to abuse. We reserve the right to use your e-mail and/or address information to advise you of your class reunion(s) and who in your class is:
Hosting a Classmate "get together" or such an event Taking over the task of setting up your class reunion Taking over the task of maintaining the files of your class And any other information that we feel may be of interest to you. If we determine there to be a large amount of mail/e-mail, we may, at our option, send out a weekly, biweekly, or monthly newsletter. * Keep in mind that if such information is listed as private, we will notify you for your authorization to send out (See above). (This is not an option for deaths/funerals listed with any news media) We also reserve the right to send you via e-mail, and/or U.S. Mail, any ads that we feel may be useful to you. (i.e. a card store ad for a birthday, or a wedding cake company for a wedding.) These ads help pay for such announcements. We do not and will not sell or rent your information to anyone or any company. We would simply take a pre-printed ad and add the announcement to it. We try to only link our site to and with companies who will also respect your and our privacy, however, we are not responsible for the content or privacy standards used by them.
